Mr. Njagi is a Partner at Meru and Njagi Advocates. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with extensive experience and a strong interest in Corporate and Commercial Law Practice, Banking, Environmental, Real Estate, and Conveyancing.
He has been engaged in multifaceted transactions locally and internationally, advising companies with extensive business and investments. His expertise includes legal advisory, due diligence, environmental compliance, fintech regulatory matters, and policy development for government agencies and corporate entities.
He has significant experience in Energy and Environmental Law, providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance, environmental governance, and structuring agreements for projects. His work ensures organisations adhere to Kenya’s evolving regulatory landscape while fostering sustainable and commercially viable operations.
As the head of our Corporate, Commercial, and Conveyancing Department, he handles banking
and financial services matters, security documentation creation and review, and fintech licensing and compliance. His expertise extends to issuing legal opinions on diverse issues to financial institutions, legal risk profiling, and advising on changes in policy and regulatory frameworks. He is skilled in structuring credit facilities, negotiating commercial agreements, and overseeing the incorporation of business entities, recapitalization, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Mr. Njagi is highly experienced in intellectual property, conveyancing, and securities on immovable properties. He advises commercial and residential property developers on compliance, financing arrangements, and investment strategies. His role also includes training financial institutions and fintech companies on regulatory and legal updates, ensuring they remain compliant and well-positioned to navigate complex legal environments.
